Transformation Thursday: On my Way

Hi everyone!  It’s Thursday! I’m on time! Yay!

Okay, I’m still not doing well on the diet and nutrition goals. But I am doing so good on everything else still.

Monday: Got my car. :) I’m paying way too much for it, but for the flexibility of no credit check, and no interest, along with brand new tires and payment deferments if I have to get the damn thing fixed… it was so worth it to be able to drive off!

Tuesday: Got my eye exam, ordered my contacts and glasses. Got Joe’s Kindergarten Registration eye exam. I’m now so blind I cannot see the big E (20/500! AGH!) but this is the first time I have purchased my exam, new glasses and new contacts (a whole year’s worth, too!) at once since becoming an adult who is responsible for the care myself. Yay! Joe has an astigmatism, but nothing to warrant glasses yet, as he may out grow it. If he takes after me, he’ll need glasses though LOL.

Wed: Spent the day with my dad for his birthday. :) I was a good daughter. Got some fuzzy posters to color with Joe. I was a good Mom.

TODAY: Went to talk to some poeple at Clayton Homes, and they basically told me I was screwed for at least another year. When they told me they were  the only game in town, I politely said thank you, and went across town. Went to New Generation Homes, who told me that they could work with my less than perfect credit score, showed me a nice 3 bedroom 2 bathroom doublewide (my town won’t let singlewides in or I’d be set) and said they’d let me know what we can do Monday. I’m ansty as hell. See, with the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit, I’ll have enough down (and yes, I can claim it this year, for a home purchased in 2009. Yay!) to move in as soon as I get the last 1099’s and W2 to file.

If everything goes right (which in my previous experience, there’s a hitch, somewhere) I will be in my own home as soon as I can file my taxes and they can prepare my lot!

In the meantime, I’m working and Jaytee’s going back to work next week as long as the temp agency wasn’t lying. We’re going to bust booty to pay down the car and clean some minor things off the credit.

Wish me luck! This year is kickin’ it so far, and I am sooooo happy right now. I am afraid it’s gonna crash down around me like it usually does. I’ve got baby fever really, really, really bad right now (I saw my nieces today, one of whom is 6 months old and smiled and laughed while we were playing today.) and refuse to start trying til I am in my new house. I don’t want to wait too long!

  1. That is what I’m talking about. I’m starting to get my groove back…overwhelmed with work at the moment and naturally putting myself last. but that’s what this is for, right? To inspire us? and honey…you are definately inspiring me :)

  2. @EclecticBird Being overwhelmed with work is better than not having any at all! You’ll get through it! I know it! I am so glad I’m inspiring.. I’m so excited. :)
